Specialising in outdoor and pop-up performances and engaging new audiences to dance theatre, the company has been Associate Artist / Dance Buddy at the Wales Millennium Centre and in 2013 were nominated for a Theatre Critics of Wales Award for Best Small Scale Dance Production.

Following winning Welsh Independent Dance’s choreographic competition Dance Bytes in 2008, the company have created numerous works with funding from Arts Council of Wales and Creative New Zealand, PRSF and the Kevin Spacey Foundation and commissions including Dance Shorts, 1square Mile, Wales Millennium Centre, National Eisteddfod, Articulture Wales, Olympic projects, Touch Compass Dance Trust and numerous music and arts festivals across the UK and New Zealand.

Chloe Loftus Dance creates physically vibrant and accessible high quality performances. Fluid contact dances, mesmerising aerial work, casting an anthropological eye over the world that we live in and attracting new audiences to contemporary dance are key inspirations in the work.

“The strength coupled with the consummate artistry of the performer brought us many breath-taking moments… The success of a work of performance art, of any art for that matter, emerges from the sincerity of the artist and the human truth it reveals. Chloe Loftus’ commitment to her art form is both very true and very human.”

“Loftus displays an enchanting grace and beauty as well as a touch of humour and a faultless athleticism that makes us gasp, gently” That was how I remarked on her prowess in 2006, now she again does all that with an even deeper understanding, a remarkable strength and a sensuality from which that touch of humour is never very far away… she is magnificent to watch.
